Tracking our Progress

Are students in Bay and Arenac counties getting the education and training they need for what comes after high school?

This page helps answer that question. We look at things like how many students complete the FAFSA for college financial aid, continue their education or training after high school, stay enrolled, and earn a degree or other credential.

By tracking these numbers over time, we can see where students are doing well, where they may need more help, and whether our community is making progress.

Five years after high school:
Bay and Arenac Students who earned certificatations or associate degrees earn approximately $21,700 more than their peers who lack a credential.

For those with bachelor degrees, the increase is nearly $34,000.

FAFSA Completion is a key step toward making education and training after high school affordable. It opens the door to grants, scholarships, work-study, and other financial aid.
